S/Y Nirvana was conceived after the skipper caught the eye of the boat of his dreams late at night in Bergen, a German Skarpsno 44. This marked the end of the old Colin Archer. After a number of inquiries to Mekon Shipyard and designer Dick Zaal, plus a chance meeting with a Dutch sailboat called S/Y Ran, there was no turning back. Drawings were bought, and the building contract was signed in the summer of '99.
